I always love free stuff – I especially love free stuff in the mail. So when I got the opportunity to do a Bulu Box review as a Sweat Pink Ambassador, I was really interested and signed up. I was so excited to find out I was included in the campaign and was eager to get my Bulu Box in the mail.
If you’ve never heard of Bulu Box, it’s similar to most subscription box services as in you pay for a particular level of box per month and the company sends you a box of samples. The more you spend = the more products are included in your box. The unique feature with this company is that all of their sample products are health and fitness related. Each month Bulu Box subscribers receive 4-5 vitamin, supplement and healthy snack samples to try. Every sample in Bulu Box is also available in full size quantities in the Bulu Box shop. One of the other benefits of a Bulu Box subscription is the Rewards Points program. Each monthly subscriber can take a quick survey about the samples in their box in exchange for 10 Rewards Points each. Every 50 Reward Points is $5 that can be use toward the purchase of any full size product on Bulubox.com.
It’s a great concept because if you are like me there have been a hundred times in your life where you buy a product and then realize it’s just not going to work for you. Basically, if you had received a sample you wouldn’t have purchased the whole container of whatever product you just bought. The end result is that you end up with container after container of nearly full products sitting in the cabinet knowing full well you will never use them again and you are just waiting to give them away to someone else who might want to try the product. Since Bulu Box lets you try 4-5 customized samples from top brands and every sample is sufficient enough for you to decide if it is right for you, there’s no wasting your your hard-earned money!
I found it a little weird that while the samples are “single serving”, something like the anti-itch cream or the fiber formula really couldn’t be determined to be effective after just one use. There were, however, two servings of Quest peanut butter protein powder and I have seen some Bulu Boxes received by my colleagues on social media, and I never remember seeing one so – well, sparse. Maybe because I was doing a review and not an actual subscriber? I’m just not sure. My box also included Mediterra Sundied Tomato & Basil Granola bar, Movit Energy Gummies and as mentioned above, Earth’s Care Anti Itch cream.
I do have to say that I really like the idea of trying I like the idea of trying things out first. In fact, if you find a product that you can’t live without in your box you can No problem, they have full sizes in the Bulu Box shop. Another thing that sets Bulu Box apart from others is they have a great rewards program. Each month you can take a quick survey about the products in your box in exchange for reward points to be used towards the purchase of full-size products! You can also be social and earn rewards that way too!
Take a look at the site for yourself and if you want your own box, first thing you do is select your box type (which can be changed at any time in the future so you’re not locked in). The “original” boxes include well rounded samples of all things healthy or “weight loss” for products geared toward helping you lose weight. Next you select your subscription plan (3 months, 6 months or 12 months). Then you’ll answer 12 questions to help Bulu Box customize your box each month, so not everyone’s box will be the same. Some of the multiple choice questions look like this:
I consider my overall health to be…
What are my health and wellness goals…
When it comes to vitamins and supplements I am…
I’d love to see more of these in my box…
My dietary restrictions are…
I adhere to these nutritional programs (such as Paleo, WeightWatchers, Atkins)…
Then you insert your gender and birthday, your shipping address and payment information and then here is where you use the 50% discount code I’ve been provided to offer my readers….the code is “SWEATPINK” and it’s only good on the 3 month, 6 month or 12 month subscriptions.
