Happy end of summer! I only consider this a "happy" time because I love the fall. I live for layering and anything pumpkin spice. I know some of you will disagree with me but I've had it with this humidity! There are some things I will MISS about my summer days. One thing I will miss the most is all the bright colors. I personally don't believe in summer/winter colors. Color is color and fell free to wear any color at ANY time! I actually love mixing my summer pieces into my fall/winter wardrobe.
Moving on...........
Even though I mix brights into my wardrobe, I don't really do that when it comes to my nails. So I decided to do one FINAL summer mani. To bid adieu to the summertime, I created something fun using the awesome nail polishes Smirnoff sent me in their welcome package to their new program! I received this bundle of joy from them the other day and was so HAPPY to see it included 3 summer colors from OPI!
I thought these colors went amazingly together! I couldn't just pick one color to paint my nails so I decided to try something new. I picked "Don't Know...Beets Me" as my base coat. Then used nail tape from Fing'rs to section off my nails.
Before starting, you want to make sure your nails are FULLY dry. The tape will stick weird and if you place it in a spot you don't like, it isn't easy to move it. After I created the pattern I wanted, I then added "Need Sunglasses" to the top section. After that dried a little, I added "On The Same Paige" to the bottom section. Definitely not the easiest thing to do. Even though, it was a stressful nail painting night, I think they came out super pretty. I mean, after I cut off the excess tape of course.
Nail art is really not my forte but it's definitely fun to try new things here and there. I hope you all have enjoyed your summer. I can't wait to show you guys my fall manis, outfits and adventures! Thank you always for tuning in!
