Bread Dosai

By Harini
Here is one more on the go breakfast recipe. Some of you might even laugh at me seeing this, but take my words this recipe is from chef Sanjeev kapoor :) I read this on the other day and immediately made for dinner and it turned out great.Bread is definitely a versatile ingredient or should I say Indian chefs and home cooks have turned it so,think about it,bread bajji, bread bonda, bread rolls,so many many sandwich varities, upma and finally even dosa with bread:)For this dosa I followed this recipe with very few changes.I have used wheat bread and increased the quantity of rice flour. This was very tasty and had a unique flavor and very crispy too

Bread dosai3.Heat some oil in a kadai and temper all the ingredients from onion through curry leaves.
4.Mix the temperings to the batter and mix well.
Bread dosai5.Heat a tava, add some oil and pour 1/4 cup of batter from outside to inside (Like rava dosa). Cook from both sides till golden brown
Bread dosai6.Serve hot
Bread dosaiNotes:
1.The color of this dosa is dark because I used wheat bread.
2.You can skip adding onion and this way you can make the batter more thin and make more crispy dosas.
3.If the dosa is sticking to the tava, try adding some more rice flour or 1/2 tablespoon corn flour to the batter
