I do love a product with a gimmick so when I saw this new Bourjois Mascara I got a little excited. The Bourjois Mascara Twist Up The Volume is similar to the other 2 in 1 mascaras but unlike the original you twist the top of this mascara for it to give you two different type brushes.One brush is for lengthening the other is for volumising. I applied each on to a different eye to show the different affects of them and to be honest I don't think there is much. On the left eye I used the volumising brush and on the right I used the lengthening one. I find both brushes give good length to my lashes but not much volume is added. I also find you can't layer it up as it can get clumpy fast.
The brush is plastic and is quite thin which helps applying mascara right to the route of your lashes easy. I do find that it makes my lashes feel quite hard and it isn't a natural look at all. The bonus to that is that it doesn't fade or smudge so if you like a mascara to stay in place then this might be the one for you.
Overall I am on the fence with the Bourjois Twist Up The Volume Mascara as it gives great length and I am amused by the way it works but I am put off by the way it makes my lashes feel and the fact it doesn't give much volume.
