Fall Parks Forum A Hit!

This weekend Boston Park Advocates hosted a Fall Parks Forum in Dorchester. The event focused on innovation and inclusion, as well as how arts and programming can transform outdoor public spaces. Dozens of open space advocates from across the city gathered to learn, connect, and explore how to build power for parks. We even enjoyed some line dancing, led by Mz. Rhythm, who leads line dancing at Franklin Park!

How advocates described the forum...

"Inspiring!"
"Extremely helpful"
"Fascinating"
"Very informative"
"Great meeting everyone"

The Boston Park Advocates Steering Committee will review the feedback forms participants filled out and develop an advocacy plan for the coming months. Stay tuned!

Thank you to:

  • The Solomon Foundation for supporting this event.
  • All of our speakers, in particular Boston Parks & Recreation Department Commissioner Chris Cook and Chief Landscape Architect Liza Meyer.
  • Codman Square Health Center for the use of Great Hall.
  • Home.stead bakery & cafe for supplying the delicious baked goods.
