Borrowed Inspiration for Your Week: Science Edition

By Crossstitchyourheart @TMNienaber

Good morning (or afternoon depending on where in the world you’re reading this) blog friends.  I have one more week of 18 hour days before the bliss for teachers that is spring break.  So if I can make it through the next five days I will have a little free time to catch up on what I’ve been putting off.  Oh to only have one job.  What a dream, what a dream.

But don’t worry I have plenty of things to worry about in these next five days and I am hoping that I’ve endeared myself into all your hearts enough that you’ll give me one last week of prayers, happy thoughts, and unneeded luck.  I have a job interview at the school I’m currently subbing at for a full time, permanent English teacher job this Friday.  I want this job.  Desperately.  I love this school.  It’s not perfect, it’s stressful (I’ve already told you I’ve cried once), and not all the students care about English, but the faculty is supportive and caring, the curriculum fits with how I like to teach, and it’s an environment where success (especially in English) is important.  Everything I’m looking for in a job.  I’m trying not to get my hopes up because competition is fierce and odds are probably not in my favor.  But if things did work out…well… Things happen for a reason.

So, now that I’ve begged you for intervention with the universe here’s your borrowed inspiration for the week.  I thought I’d branch out from my usual subject area and give you a little science for your week.

You can get one for yourself here at robindesigns’s etsy store.

I like the periodic table stitching.  I’d love to make one of these to hang up, but I’m also not sure I’d have the patience to finish it.  As un-intimidating as it looks finished I’m sure it’d be quite an undertaking as a project. It’s priced at $5 which isn’t too bad for the detail I’m sure went into it.  One to keep in mind for a new summer project.

I’m about 100 pages into “The Paris Wife” .  Its a good book but I’ve been having some difficulties getting into it with everything else going on.  I’m hoping to have some free evenings this week to finish it off, or if not I’ll devote some spring break time to getting it finished and indulging it what has the potential to being a beautiful book.
