A few suggestions for the wine-lovers on your holiday gift list that would appreciate a good read:

The Wine Bible by Karen MacNeil is both entertaining and masterful. Authoritative but never ponderous, it explores and explains with wit, charm and respect for both the reader and subject matter. A must for any wine-lover’s shelf.

Vino Business (The Cloudy World of French Wine). Written by a French investigative reporter, Isabelle Saporta, it explores the seeder (and greedier) side of the Bordeaux region whose classification system is now more about appearances than what is in the glass.

Saving Grapes by J.T. Lundy. Populated by a host of deliciously tarnished characters, this is a lighthearted, very enjoyable story of a man’s attempt at redemption via a French vineyard complicated by various saints and sinners.

You Deserve A Drink by Mamrie Hart. Oh my….Imagine hanging with a friend that loves a good drink (or 2) and has absolutely no filter. A YouTube comedic sensation (and rightfully so) for her humor and mixology skills, this collection of social misadventure stories is a debauchery delight.
