I tweeted the first picture a couple of nights ago after playing around with some make-up and really liked the look so decided to do it again as a tutorial. I in no way have mastered the smoky look. I still think there's room for improvement, but it's taken me this long to get to this place....being happy enough that I am now posting a picture on the internet. I hope you like it...
STEP ONE:
Using the Real Techniques shading brush, apply the Bobbi Brown pro long-wear gel eye liner all over your lid. Create a look you want, I chose a flick, but do this quick as the product dries really quickly and once that happens, you can't blend.
Also bring the product underneath you bottom lash line.
STEP TWO:
Using your 217 MAC brush, blend out any harsh edges.
STEP THREE:
Apply any black shadow over the top of the gel liner and blend, blend, blend, with a clean brush though! I used the ELF blending brush. I used the black in the CK One Colour Smoky palette. I also used the Real Techniques brow brush to apply the black shadow under my bottom lash line.
STEP FOUR:
Once everything is blended to how you like it, apply a shimmery light color just under your brow bone. I used the shimmery cream in the CK One Colour Smoky palette and my MAC 213 to do this.
STEP FIVE:
Take a black pencil eyeliner, I used Smashbox Limitless in Onyx, and apply this under your lower lash line and just on the outer corners of your water line. Don't take it any further than about a quarter of the way.
STEP SIX:
Apply a white eyeliner on the rest of your waterline. I used NYX white pencil.
A quick blending sweep using my MAC 224 just in case!
STEP SEVEN:
Curl your lashes and apply a thing coat of mascara. I used Avon Super Shock on the top and Benefit Bad Gal Lash on the bottom.
Optional - apply fake lashes for a more dramatic bold look. I used N Lashes.
And you're done! Tweet me pictures of your bold smoky eye to @Beauty18Claudia, I'd love to see them!
Hope you have a great day everyone!
