Bloggers Table at Amreli, Hotel Diplomat
Amreli at Hotel Diplomat has been the most talked about place in the town. Maneesh had visited it earlier, six months back and had a great time savoring the eclectic mix of Indian and European cuisine.
Read about his experience here. http://www.mysticfoodiemantra.com/2014/10/amreli-opens-its-doors-to-city.htmlCouple of week’s back I went there for a bloggers table. It was my first time at Hotel Diplomat and I completely fell in love with the property. It is  like a personalized luxury villa. This is the second venture of Sidhant who also owns high street design studio Strotat Lajpat Nagar. The tastefully done interior shows Sidhant’s deep passion for design. And to complement that with food, Sidhant has roped in Chef Saby. The kitchen at the Amreli is headed by young & talented Chef Amit Naithani who was with The Oberoi’s before it.Amerli is a ‘Café’ concept and Chef Saby has created a great mix of North Indian, Coastal and European cuisine. The blogger’s table menu was an assortment from the main menu. It had good mix of Appetizers, Soups & Salads and Mains. We started with appetizer and most of them unfortunately turned out to be average except Jalapeno and Cheese Naan. The Galouti Slider didn’t have the galouti flavor & taste. Similar was the case with Paneer Tikka Slider. Keema Egg Bendict was an interesting preparation. I skipped the soups and salads as I wanted to keep space for the main course. The Main course had an array of South Indian delicacy. Bean Porriyal, Kerala Vegetable Stew, Malabari Prawn Curry, Chettinand Chicken, Meen Moilee had authentic flavor. The desserts came after we finished the Southern delight. I must say every single thing was bang on in taste and I loved the Baked Cheesecake. It is probably one of the best in town. Bloggers Table at Amreli, Hotel Diplomat
The bloggers table ended on a good note after an average start. That day probably was not good for them as there were problems with the AC, staff service and food. Amreli is a brilliant place to have a quite meal appreciating the interiors with your friends, family & your date.
