An engaging lesson from the iconic Bear family about the true blessing of Easter—the Resurrection of Jesus.

If you are looking for a warm and engaging story with well-loved characters to provide a perfect introduction to your young loved ones to the Easter holiday, then The Berenstain Bears’ Easter Blessings is the answer to your search.

A little background: Stan and Jan Berenstain launched the Berenstain Bears books in 1962 with The Big Honey Hunt. Since that time, more than 365 Berenstain Bears books have been published, making it one of the best-selling children’s series ever. Today, Mike Berenstain continues his parents’ tradition of creating warm and engaging stories featuring the lovable Bear family.

In The Berenstain Bears’ Easter Blessings, the cubs learn about the many blessings in their lives, and especially the greatest blessing of all-the Resurrection of Jesus on Easter. The short, simple story and well-loved characters provide toddlers with a perfect introduction to this very important Christian holiday. Ages 2-5.

This book was absolutely adorable. I can’t wait to include it in our grandson, Dylan’s Easter basket this year. While he currently goes to a religious preschool and knows the basics, I think this book is a great addition to the knowledge he already has. The theme of Easter Blessings isn’t about Easter bunnies and candy, and it’s not even as deep as the story of the resurrection.  Instead, it is a story about counting the many blessings of Easter such as the people in our lives, our family, spring, and Jesus.  I know our grandson will really enjoy the great pictures in the book and the reading will be easy for him. He can pass this book on to one of his younger cousins in the future and perhaps it can become a generational gift in the future thanks to its nice hard back pages.

51lfvMvb9FL._UX250_ Mike Berenstain grew up watching his parents, Stan and Jan, working together to write and draw these lovable bears. Eventually he started drawing and writing about them too. Mike is married to Andrea and they have three children whose antics and activities growing up have provided inspiration for many Berenstain Bears books over the years. They live in Pennsylvania, in an area that looks a lot like Bear Country. Since the late 80s, he has been very much involved as a writer and illustrator with his family’s creation, the Berenstain Bears. He continues to work with his mother, Jan, creating new books, writing and illustrating.

I was provided with a review copy of this book as a First Look Blogger for Worthy Publishing without cost in exchange for this, my honest review and unbiased opinion.
