black forest trifle- easy to make trifle recipe with chocolate sponge cake,cherries and whipped cream.I planned desserts for last year Christmas/New Year recipes here,as i did not involved in baking for the past few years.I already shared and updated so many no bake desserts here,this one i made last minute and shot this one for sharing here.this is the best for the day to make this dessert as we are welcoming summer soon.

No bake desserts are easy to assemble if you are having leftover fruit cake or any cake with some whipped topping or custard,you can make this within minutes.Topping is as per your wish,you can either add chopped almonds and pistachios or top it with grated dark chocolate compound or with some fruits too.I used sugar syrup for moisturizing the layers.You can substitute it with orange juice or apple juice too.

Whip the cream in advance and store it in refrigerator before use and prepare the sugar syrup too.Chop the cherries into rough pieces or fine pieces and then layer it as we are making individual proportions.try this trifle for this new year and let me know the feedback.

making trifle recipes are so easy and the ideas came out continuously once you start to preparing that.I want to post this recipe since i saw in many blogs here and looks like so easy for me but i did not find whipping cream that time.Finally i got whipping cream powder and it is so easy for me to work with.Use milk or water which is cold enough to beat and also place your beater(hand beater or beating attachment if you are using electric mixer or stand mixer).This will give you a wonderful stiff peak whipped cream and refrigerate it again by covering it with a cling wrap before use.

I got glazed cherries and i did not able to get the fresh ones in the market.Initially i want to make individual dessert and then i planned to make it in a mason jar which would be really perfect for that day.Make sugar syrup along with some chopped cherries which makes the syrup more flavorful and you will need less amount of it while filling it.Just drizzle the syrup over the layers and then arrange chopped cherries over it.More sugar will spoil the entire recipe,so be careful with the sugar syrup,limit it with just 2 teaspoon for 1 jar.

while shooting the recipe,i simply go with the jar and feeling so empty around it and used remaining cream and cherries and made another trifle in a shot glass and i topped it with sliced cherries.you can also make white forest cake trifle by using vanilla cake and white chocolate shavings and proceed the same procedure for black forest trifle.I love that one than this chocolaty one because it makes the picture so beautiful and soon will try to post that one too here.

After sometime,tried my hands on Black and White photography with this trifle and came out good ,enough light to shot with.this is the best dessert to celebrate the day with loved ones.lets move on making it.,

Ingredients
  • chocolate sponge cake
  • whipped cream - as needed
  • grated chocolate - for topping
  • cherries - as needed
  • sugar syrup - 2 teaspoons
Instructions
  1. Take the jar and layer it with sponge cake pieces and press it gently.
  2. Drizzle or brush the sugar syrup over the layer and then with chopped cherries.
  3. Now layer 1 teaspoon of whipped cream over it and again repeat the layer with chocolate cake.
  4. Repeat the same steps with sugar syrup and finally with whipped cream.
  5. Refrigerate it for an hour and grate the dark chocolate over it and garnish it with cherries.
  6. Serve chilled.
