Today i am reviewing one of the products i received in my July MSM Box- its is Bio Bloom Natural Lip Balm in Mint.
Price- INR 99 for 8 gms. You can buy it here.
Ingredients- Spearmint oil, Carrot seed oil, Aloe Vera gel, Natural Bee Wax, Cocoa Butter, Virgin Coconut Oil, Vegetable glycerin, Castor oil, Citric Acid & Sodium Benzoate.
Glad to find that its free of chemicals.
The lip balm as the name suggests is mint flavoured, non-tinted balm. The Bio Bloom Mint lip balm comes packed in small transparent plastic tub with a screw cap and has a protective inner lid too to prevent spillage. The only disadvantage with tubs is that you need either or a spatula always to scoop out the products or dip your fingers & it enters in your nail cavity which at times is very irritating.
The balm smells minty and is pale white in color. The balm is waxy but soft in texture. The texture is quite similar to melted butter (ghee) and melts soon after applying on lips. The texture and smell reminds me of Figs & Rouge mint balm but this one is not sticky like previous one.
The balm keeps my lip soft, supple and hydrated for 3-4 hours max after which it needs reapplication. I liked it except that it tastes really bad or should i say bitter. The best time to apply such balms is at night when they can give better results and followed up with little scrubbing/buffing in the morning would give smooth and soft lips.
Overall Bio Bloom Lip Balm-Mint is one of the best natural alternatives to nourish & hydrate your lips. No Parabens, sulphates or petrochemicals! Recommended!
