The LIttle A's were recently sent some great new toys from Tomy from part of their Big Farm range.
We were sent the following toys from the range...
Britains Big Farm John Deere 6210R Tractor
This 1:16 scale John Deere tractor comes complete with realistic lights and sounds, activated by easy to press buttons on the top of the cab. It also comes with active steering, a detachable cab, an opening bonnet, a height adjustable rear hitch and realistic tyres. The tractor is compatible with all of the other John Deere Big Farm implements and can be used both indoors and outdoors.
The tractor requires 3 x AAA batteries which are included.
When the tractor arrived I was very impressed with the size, quality and attention to detail. The more you look at it, the more of the little details you can see and, for a toy, I think it is great so much attention to detail has been put into the tractor to make it as real a play experience as possible.
Although the age range for this toy is 3-8, Little Miss A has been really enjoying playing with it too and there are no small parts which I am worried about her putting in her mouth. Little Mr A has really been enjoying playing with it too and insisted I keep the bubble wrap from the packaging for the tractor to travel across a 'bumpy field'!
The tractor fits together with the...
The Disc Harrow is made from a combination of die cast and plastic and fits together easily with all of the Big Farm tractors. It has folding road wheels for easy transportation and storage.
Again, the age range is 3-8, however, younger children can have fun with it too!
Although you don't need the Disc Harrow to enjoy playing with the tractor, it is a great extra addition and the Little A's have had fun wheeling it around behind the tractor and making furrows in the carpet! I could see this being a really fun toy to play with outside in the mud or in a sand pit.
The Big Farm Land Rover Defender comes with realistic lights and sounds and a removable canopy. Again, it is compatible with all of the Big Farm implements and trailers.
As with the tractor, the Land Rover requires 3 x AAA batteries which are included.
The quality of the Land Rover is really good. It is very strong and robust and will take a lot of bashes and crashes! The Little A's have loved pushing this around and pressing the buttons to hear the sounds.
They have also loved taking off the canopy for their animals and little people to have a ride around in the Land Rover!
The Pig Trailer fits easily onto the Land Rover (above) and comes complete with a family of 6 Gloucester Old Spot Pigs. It can also be towed behind any of the Big Farm Tractors.
It would be silly to have farm toys without some great farm animals and I think this is a really great addition to the range. The Pigs are very realistic and great quality. The trailer itself is again, very realistic and robust and has great attention to detail. The Little A's (particularly Little Miss A) loves putting the Pigs, along with her other little animals, into the back of the trailer and pushing them around.
Overall we are incredibly impressed with the Big Farm range. The attention to detail is amazing and all of the toys are incredibly strong and will last a long time. I can see these been taken outside during the summer for lots more imaginative play!
You can keep up to date with all of the latest news from this great range of toys on their Facebook page and find reviews of new toys from three year old Harry Edwards Brady, Britain's youngest competitor in the prestigious riding event, the Horse of the Year Show who has recently been chosen as an official ambassador and toy tester for the range.
