Update on the new eye -- above is what I see when I look with both eyes. And what the camera sees without my altering the tint. Below is a slight exaggeration of what I see looking through only the old eye (left) or only the new eye (right.)
I noticed on Friday that the grass was yellow- green through the left and blue-green through the right. And then I realized that the view through my left eye was like a yellowing Fifties snap-shot while through the right it was clearer and the distant mountains were blue rather than just hazy. Oh, I'm enjoying this! Also, words are much clearer with the new eye. Fortunately my vision isn't/wasn't so bad that the difference bothers me. When using both eyes, it seems to achieve a sort of happy medium.
