Bhel Puri

Bhel puri is one of the most colorful,tasty and popular street food in India.We get this snack in every nook and corner of a street almost.Making bhel puri at home is a child's play.If you have few puri's we use for pani puri or crunchy papdi and a sweet n sour chutney in hand,you can make bhel puri within minutes.Here is a very easy recipe for this most loved dish.This is a very filling,tasty and healthy snack sure to please kids and adults alike:)

Star ingredients:Puris used for pani puri,sweet and sour chutney
Time:15 minutes

There are so many methods of making bhel puri.I have seen in some places they crush the same puri used for pani puri while in some places a special thick n crispy dish called papdi is made.Here I am blogging the method I often follow to make bhel puri.I shall post other popular versions as and when I try.
Ingredients:
1 cup puffed rice
5-6 small puris
1 large potato,boiled,peeled and mashed coarsley
1 large tomato chopped fine
1/4 mango chopped fine
1 onion sliced fine
Salt
Chaat masala powder
Sweet and sour chutney as required
Method:
1.Chop onion,tomato,mango into fine pieces and take in a mixing bowl
Bhel puri2.Add the mashed potato,and crush the puris and add to it.

3.Now add the puffed rice,salt,chaat powder and required amount of chutney.
Bhel puriBhel puri4.Serve immedietly before the puffed rice turns soggy.

1.You can make n store puris and chutney in fridge and make bhel puri whenever required
2.If you are making in large quantity,always mix the puffed rice and chutney only at the time of serving.
3.Some places peanuts,beaten rice etc are added to this bhel puri.
