The first item I pulled out of the bag is a Mirabella Colour Sheers Lipstick in "Posy." There have been a number of Mirabella products in prior Ipsy bags, but never the same product twice, so I don't mind that so much. It has a slightly vanilla-scent (my personal favorite!) and looks like a really pretty shade. This is also a full size lipstick!!!
Next is a concealer from Yaby in the shade "Honey." It actually looks like this is a shade that will match my skin tone, which is kind of rare with samples. Again, Yaby seems popular with the Ipsy bags, but they've never sent concealer before. And again, this is full size (it's a tiny pot, but it IS full size).
The color is totally off in this picture. It's lighter &
kind of a standard light flesh-tone (see last picture
for more accurate color)
Moving on, there was a box from Zoya. I've never seen Zoya polishes come in a box, but this one did. It is the shade "Gei Gei" from their Spring collection, although it's spelled "Gie Gie" on the bottle. Not sure why that occurred! :) I actually don't have this shade!!! I have a number of the Spring colors, but I didn't grab this one, so I am happily surprised that it's a shade I do not have. It's quite pretty too! It's a soft, baby pink with shimmer. Again, it is full size!!!
Next out of the bag, we have a perfume. Eyes would roll, but this one's not a dinky little sample - it's a full size Rollerball (0.33fl oz/10mL)! AND, it smells delicious! :) It is the Pacifica Island Vanilla Perfume Roll-On. I love vanilla scents, so it's perfect. I'm not really a perfume wearer, but if I were going to wear one, this is a good one to try. Plus, the Rollerball packaging makes it actually seem like a decent sample, not a left-over freebie.
Finally for the bag, there is the Instant Glow Body Lotion from St. Tropez. This is a tanning lotion that comes off when you wash it off, as opposed to a self-tanner. I like the concept and might try it out, but I'm not really the tan-type. I like my pasty white legs! :) It's a generous size sample (50mL/1.69fl oz) and a well-known brand, so Ipsy gets another big thumbs up!
As if that were not enough, they included a full size Urban Decay Moondust Eye Shadow!!! I don't know how they determined who received these. It says that it is a bonus for being an active member of the Ipsy community. My shadow is in the shade "Moonspoon" which is a super glittery gunmetal shade. Probably not a color I would pick out on my own, but perfectly wearable and and fun to try out. I'm not one for super glittery shadows anyway, but this could be great for special occasions and I have been tempted to pick one of these up despite my lack of need for it! :) I have some of these in their old formulation (I feel like no one is aware that these used to exist), so I'll be interested to see how they differ!!! :)
And that was May's Ipsy bag!!! So impressed this month! All but one product appears to be full sized, there's a nice variety of items. Ipsy definitely had a rough start when they were My Glam, but since the switch over, they've been sending consistently good bags.
