Well...not always...
My boys are three years and one year - so two years between them. That can certainly be a bit challenging sometimes. We experienced that our firstborn became a really jealous big brother when baby A was born. I think that he was simply not ready for it. He didn't really understand the sudden change in our family. He was also in a very sensitive age, had just turned two when we became a family of four instead of three. We tried to prepare him during my pregnancy but it was quite difficult. He didn't understand that there was a baby growing in my stomach and he wasn't pleased at all when we returned home with a newborn after a few days at the hospital. One year has now passed and our oldest son has slowly learned to accept and even appreciate his baby brother. They almost even play together sometimes : ) yeeaahh! But there is still some jealousy and irritation between them. I guess there will be some brotherly fighting between them in the following years. But much love as well!
