Nihao Restaurant or rather, a whole network of them. My favorite was on Nevsky prospekt 112. It was close to all of my favorite department stores and a great place to go after a walk in the city of a day of shopping. They have authentic Chinese food and are very popular among tourists.
I suggest you give a try to their black fungus salad, crispy pork ears salad, dumplings fried and regular as well as sweet and sour fish. They have excellent soups but with those portions are very generous! So if you are there alone or with a date trade carefully, it's easy to order more than you can ever eat in one sitting. Deserts are not their strong point, as they are not very traditional in chinese quisine but I do suggest you order the cuttest pig-shaped sweet dumplings.
Now, a different restaurant, which is also a whole network of them, rather than just a single establishment, Dve Palochki, or if you try and translate it into English, Two Chopsticks. It's mostly Japanese quisine, but lately they have been doing Italian and American and other quisines as well. They do Europeanised Japanese dishes rather well, meaning they are not that authentic, but the dishes are quite tasty and the service is fast. They also do sushi sets for those who want to try a little bit of everything without committing to one type of sushi or rolls. Portions are of a modest size, prices somewhere in the middle of the spectrum.Have you ever eaten out in one of these restaurants? What was your impression?
В Санкт-Петербурге ресторанов очень много, сейчас это преимущественно сети ресторанов в разных районах города. Для тех, кто любит поострее, советую сходить в Нихао, ресторан есть на Невском проспекте 112. Большие порции, вкуснейшая еда, они взяли лучшее из китайской кухни, умеренные цены, большой выбор блюд. Мои любимые - салат из свиных ушек, салат из древесных грибов, жаренные пирожки с разными начинками, а на десерт - маленькие пирожки на пару с начинкой из перетертого мака с сахаром в виде свинок.
Еще один ресторан, Две Палочки. Мне он нравился больше, когда они готовили только японскую кухню. Сейчас у них есть и американская, и итальянская, и японская и много чего еще. Неплохой выбор для первого свидания, когда еще не знаешь, кто что любит, потому что выбрать есть из чего. Еще один плюс, они делают постное меню, но только в пост перед Пасхой. Цены средние, обслуживание достаточно быстрое.
