Lately this blog is all about kids, and lately our lives have been ALL ABOUT KIDS! Groundhog day has hit us. Today was like Christmas, boxes arrived from the States. Grandma sent a care package for the girls which left Pri screaming and almost wetting herself and Wags was more into the chocolate eggs. Grandma also sent with it a bunch of stuff I had ordered on Amazon. Between the price of what the stuff cost and the shipping I think we pretty much broke even if we were to purchase everything here. Not much of a gain. The shipping to Nassau is so expensive I have no idea why and then you stress whether you have to pay duty on everything. A lot of the items we could have gotten here but by the time you pay for taxis to get to the stores then pay the “island” price you may as well have it shipped from the States, but next time we’ll have to put it on a boat over. $400 in shipping is not cool.
I’ve been looking at buying the girls play silks for a couple of years now and just couldn’t fathom the cost then I looked at making them myself and that was expensive too. So I bit the bullet and bought them from Magic Cabin and I am soo pleased I did. What a great boat toy. They don’t take up any space and they’re fabulous for their imagination. The girls LOVE them. There have been weddings, princess’s, capes and rocket ships.
Thanks Grandma for the great gifts for the girls and shipping everything for us. We’ll give you a shout tomorrow when the excitement has worn off a bit.
Pri has a big scabby thing on her chin that she keeps picking. Every time we go to Atlantis we come back with war wounds. I guess its just so exciting that they forget how to walk.
