Beauty Obsessions of the Moment

+ loving the new prints from Twistbands Spring 2013 prints + I am obsessing over their cute colored bobbies +

When it comes to make-up products, I must admit… I have always been a bit on the stingy side. When in need of new make-up products I would just grab some stuff at CVS when picking up my prescriptions. It was convenient, and I always assumed that the cheap stuff was just as good as the expensive stuff…

…. and in some cases, that can certainly be true (NYX is my jam). Yet, I did recently experience first hand that in a majority of cases, the extra few bucks is worth it. With my new products my skin has never looked more bronze and blemish-less, which is awesome because it’s totally not that, especially right now. This girl needs a tan, badly.

I spent quite a pretty penny on all my new goodies, but at least I got an Ulta card so I can start reaping rewards! Just what I need, another excuse to spend more $$.

+ Benefit is my new obsession. Their Watt’s Up highlighter has been my go-to for a while, a dash on the bridge of your nose/ cheekbones and your good to go. The Fake Up concealer is also a gem, especially if you are need of a good cover up and hate cake face. Lastly, Hoola is the best of the best when it comes to bronzers- end of story. +

+ I love the Julep Instant Warming Foot Scrub, & the Julep Quick Dry Polish Drops. The scrub warms up your feet (and I hate cold feet), and leaves them feeling softer than a babies booty. As for the quick dry drops, this bottle may or may not be a magic potion. One drop on your wet nail, and it’s ROCK HARD dry in like 3 seconds. A realllll time saver. (P.S. Yes I work for the company, and even though they help me pay rent, I am speaking strictly from the heart). +

+ Sheet masks. You should have owned these yesterday. They are basically a sheet that is soaked in vitamins and serums that you lay on your face, let sit for 20 minutes (you may resemble a serial killer/ deal with it), and take off. It leaves your skin looking and feel like new, and you don’t have to deal with any of the annoying mess that you would with a regular mask. The celebs love them, and so will you. You’re welcome. +

+ Am I really hyping another Julep product? Yes, I am… because this one is too good not to share (that’d be rude of me). Freedom Polymer Topcoat. It “goes on like polish, performs like a gel”, sans any special light. +

+ My acupuncturist recommended I start taking flower essences. Best advice I’ve taken in a while, next to getting acupuncture in the first place (my fave thing ever). You can get them at your local health food store, and all you do is add some drops to your water. Sip on that throughout the day, and all your problems will slip away. It’s my secret weapon to sanity. There are tons of different kinds for whatever you’re dealing with, so you can mix ‘em up any way you like & make your own custom zen potion. +
