Bar Taco Baby!

By Yonni @vegandthecity
I am such a sucker for Mexican food. And to eat it in a cool place with a pretty view? Seriously just gets better.
Tucked away along the river in Port Chester, New York (with a sister restaurant in bustling downtown Stamford, Connecticut) is Bar Taco.
According to the NY Times, "they come, by car and by speedboat, from Greenwich and Cos Cob, Scarsdale and Rye, to eat $2.50 veal-cheek tacos and drink flights of designer tequila, or from White Plains and Harrison, to dip into the excellent guacamole and nurse a cold Dos Equis. It’s a huge party, with a throbbing house-music soundtrack — and you can eat to it."Does it get better? Well, if you swap out the veal-cheek for a vegan mushroom alternative and nurse a margarita - shy of finding yourself on a beach in Mexico it's pretty fab! Rice bowls, salads with toasted pepitas and sliced radish, grilled corn, spiced cucumber salad, homemade salsas...what are you waiting for?  The vibe is so cool I wouldn't be surprised if Jimmy Buffet walked in with a parrot ;-)For more information on Bar Taco and other restaurants in the group go to http://bartaco.com.Bar Taco Baby!
