I'd had my eye on these beauties for a while before I finally took the plunge and picked them up last month. I had wanted to invest in a really good pair of headphones prior to my first flight as I had heard from a few people that it was a good idea if you were feeling a little apprehensive, in order to help cancel out the noise.
When I tried these on during a trip to John Lewis I fell instantly in love. I had already seen the lovely Estee feature them in one of her videos, and so the allure of the gorgeous silver aluminum and tanned leather design had been enough to encourage me to look into the specs a bit further.
Apart from the incredible sound quality - the clarity at which you can listen to tracks is just astounding (comprised of a clear midrange and a precise balance between the provision of bass and treble - not that this means that much to me!) - the thing that really stood out to me was how comfortable and luxurious the H6 headphones felt to wear.
The memory foam inside the earphones moulds seamlessly and ensures the avoidance of too much pressure on your ears causing to you feel pain or discomfort (something I have experienced with pretty much all the other headphones I have owned after wearing them for any extended length of time). In addition this means that minimal sound is able to escape - hence why they came in so useful whilst flying!
Something else I really love is how the headphones fold flat when you want to wear them around your neck - you really can't fault Bang & Olufsen when it comes to the design. They also come with remote, mic and daisy chain function allowing you to share and listen along with your friends if you so choose. This isn't something that I have made use of as yet, but I can definitely see why it would be a handy feature to have.
For the £329.95 that you pay, the H6's certainly aren't something that you should pick up on a whim. Ultimately though, if you're like me and you can't go anywhere without some tunes in toe, then they will pay for themselves in no time and are well worth the extra pennies. A beautiful piece of quality design - timeless and no doubt the perfect Christmas gift for any music fanatics out there.
