Balls and Booze?Seriously?

By Shalinidigvijay @shalinidigvijay
Seriously?
Seriously!
CG Style ....Rock it!
Cricket season ,this is.
Balls and Booze?Seriously?
The time for Booze Aka Royal Challengers and balls that weigh 160 gms and bats...and the men to swing them. These men!
Balls and Booze?Seriously?OK, hee hee...the Gangman Style has been done to death already,but...
I am, to the game born.My dad lives ,eats and breathes cricket. He will even enjoy a test county match of non entities.Just the spirit of the game.
However, here hubby dear disappoints. He is a man of few words and prefers the use of fists to that of a bat and ball. A left arm Medium pace bowler he may be, he can find no place in his heart to follow the IPL games after the first season.
That is why God made multiple TV connections cheap on TATA Sky connections on TV.
So now a family of three, living in a three bedroom apartment have three rooms. Christened the "Saheb ke TV wala kamara", "Play station wala kamra" and the "Cricket wala kamra".
Essentially ,the family that watches different TV programmes should not watch TV together,if they want to stay together.
Like us!
Back to the game. Me a working mom, a wife , a home maker and a blogger and a creator of all things amazingly tantalizing to the taste buds ,an impulsive shopper of shoes and earrings,I manage to snatch a few bytes here and there.
I need my fix of cricket happiness.
Some on the TV in my room, some on my smart phone, some via the papers and some via the news channels which hubby dear is always too keen to ditch...
But I follow.
I follow the Prince. I follow Yuvraj. For his never say die attitude, for his Punjabiat(I am one quarter Punjabi) and for his bl***y astounding 9 sixes. Only he could have done it.
Balls and Booze?Seriously?
I follow Virat Kohli. That guy has talent. What he can do so effortlessly, not many can even dream of.And I follow Muttiah Muralitharan. Does one even need to question that man's ability to bowl? Then there is AB de Villiers...And the best Chris Gayle...And this was Rahul Dravid's team, before he let go. And of course the best Vijay Mallaya. He may not know how to fly planes, but boy,has he hit a jackpot this year. He just proved a point. He knows his booze ,he knows the balls and he knows the men who have the balls to play the way they are doing ,right here ,right now.And they also know how to celebrate. Yeah, makes you want to dance on your chair right???
I'll be rooting for this team .
I am waiting to see some more nail biting ,adrenaline shooting matches. I can imagine the screams and the palpitating excitement that will be radiating in the stadium...it sure does off the flat screen TV.
I am rooting for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
So the Booze and the balls are all good,as long as they win the trophy!
Balls and Booze?Seriously? We want challengers game for more!!!
