Baisaran Valley The Baisaran Valley requires no precise introduction or description.
It is well renowned for the amazing picturesque it offers. Rightly known as Mini Switzerland, the Baisaran Valley is one of the most spectacular places that Kashmir has ever had. The valley offers a striking view of Pahalgam.

 It is a perfect place to relax. Surrounded by mind blasting mountains and lush green surroundings, the Baisaran Valley provides a stunning view. The valley is one of the hotspots of the tourists, thereby attracting a large number of tourists every year.


Tourism Importance 

The tourism significance of the Baisaran Valley arises from the fact that it is designated as Mini Switzerland. Thus we can imagine that the Valley must be having something that makes it more appealing than Switzerland. In order to quench this imagination, the Baisaran valley is visited every year by innumerable tourists from both national and international level. This boosts up the tourism industry of the northern state of Jammu and Kashmir. The valley presents an outstanding view of its surroundings and tourists usually yearn for this type of view.

Baisaran not only contains beauty inside it, it in fact, has a lot of beauty around it as well. Besides, visiting Baisaran, there are some very interesting places that one can visit. Some of them are illustrated below.

Mamaleshwar Temple The Mamaleshwar Temple is a 12th century temple dedicated to the service of Lord Shiva. It is one of the oldest temples of the Kashmir valley. The temple was constructed by King Jayasimha on the right bank of River Lidder. The temple contains a podium and a Shiv Ling. 

The temple is visited by numerous devotees with great devotion and dynamism. Chandanwari Chandanwari is one of those places where tourists can roam about freely without those guides and touts who hover around the tourists for no reason. The place welcomes the visitors with open arms. 

This is one such place where you can enjoy some of the most awesome snow games. Aru Valley The Aru Valley resides in close proximity to the Betaab Valley and provides a magnificence of its own. The place is well known as a picnic destination where one can spend some time with their beloved family members. In addition to these places, one can also opt for Mata Mandir and Satlajan.


Best time to visit

The best phase to visit the Baisaran Valley is between the months of April and November as the beauty of the valley during this phase is beyond words. Nature lovers, photo fanatics and adventure freaks abound the valley during this phase.
