Badam kothumalli chutney (Almond-cilantro chutney)Star ingredient-Whole almondsTime-20 minutesServes-3Ingredients:10-12 whole almonds1 table spoon gram dal1 table spoon urad dal1/4 teaspoon asafoetida2 green chillies1 dried red chilli1/2 cup cilantro1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds7-8 curry leavesSaltSeasme oilMethod:1.In a kadai,add some oil and add green chilli,red chilli,urad,gram dal and asafoetida.
2.Cool and grind along with whole almonds,cilantro and salt.
3.Temper with mustard and curry leaves.
Notes:1.This chutney yields less.While serving dilute it a bit adding sesame oil2.To increase the quantity you can add roasted dal along with cilantro n almonds while grinding.
