I love it when Autumn arrives. It means one thing. New boots! I don’t treat myself very often, the Little A’s usually need some new shoes or clothes and I end up making do, however, every year I will buy a new pair of boots and wear them to death up until Spring.
Since I have had children and started becoming more sensible, my needs in footwear have changed. I always used to be one for heels. Who cares if your feet are bleeding by the end of the day – they look great! Now, with school runs and shopping to contend with, rather than being sat behind a desk all day, I need sensible shoes, a tiny wedge is about all I can get away with these days!
As well as needing something comfy, the boots I choose these days have to be practical for all the ‘Mum’ things too! Going to the park or playing in the rain and snow means I need some boots that are going to cope with the wet and be easily cleaned from all of the mud. Lets face it, wintertime in Britain can be pretty shocking weather wise!
I don’t usually spend a fortune on a pair of boots (that’s probably why they only last me one season!). I have had my eye on a pair of Ugg boots for a long time but have never had enough money to treat myself. They look like they would keep my feet really toasty and warm and would be incredibly comfy. Maybe one day I will own a pair – a girl needs to have something to aspire to!
