Autumn Makeup PicksAutumn Makeup PicksAutumn Makeup PicksAutumn Makeup PicksI have been routing through all my make up drawers to find out what my autumn make up picks would be. As you can see it was hard to narrow down so prepare yourself for a long post.
I thought I would start with blush as its my favorite make up product. I like to go to for more neutral shades as I play up my lips or eyes in the cooler months. Liz Earle Blush in Nude and Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed have been firm favourites for a while. Another pink, nude color is Inglot Cream Blush in 86. This is a gorgeous cream blush that gives the perfect hint of color.
If I decide to go for a bit of color I like Benefit Blush in Bella Bamba which is a lovely pink and Illamasqua Powder Blush in Expose which is a great autumnal orange shade.
After months of just wearing a sweep of color on the eyes there is something about the cooler months that makes me want to pile on the eye shadow. One palette I bring out year after year is the Estee Lauder Signature Palette in Gold Opulence. It has 4 perfect warm brown shades that make a great smokey eye. Purple is also a color I reach for and this True Colour Eyeshadow Duo in Crushed Orchid from Avon is gorgeous.
The other two palettes I always reach for is the Urban Decay Vice Palette which has every eye shadow you ever would need and the Wild About Beauty Divine Nights Palette.
Autumn lips is all about the vampy, bold lip and I have every type going. A new favorite of mine and one I plan to dedicate a whole post to soon is Hourglass Opaque Rouge in Icon. This is just a gorgeous color that lasts all day.
Going for more of sheer color but still sticking with the vampy color Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stain in Crush and Deborah Milano Lipstick 16* are both easy to wear shades. If I am after a more glossy finish I love the L'Oreal Glam Shine Caresse in Milady.
Lastly one of my all time favorite lipsticks is Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss in 107 which I think is the perfect autumn color.
Last but not least we have nails polish and I realised I really lack in red/purple shades which is what I went looking for to begin with.(an excuse to go shopping) The one red I do have and adore is OPI Big Red Apple which is a true dark red.
Onto the nude taupe shades there is three must haves I think you should all have, Essie Chinchilly, Liz Earle Ebb Tide* and OPI You Don't Know Jacques.
If I am feeling daring and want a bright color I think Nails Inc Baker Street is perfect for a splash of color.
Lastly I wanted to mention the new Essie Fall/Winter collection. I have 4 shades from the mini set and they are all gorgeous. More to come on these.
So there is my Autumn make up picks, do let me know what yours are?
