Beth Hoffman
Last night I was fortunate enough to attend Beth Hoffman’s author event at FoxTale BookShoppe in Woodstock, Georgia. Not only did I see Beth Hoffman, but Karen White was there to introduce her friend AND Mary Kay Andrews was there as moral support! It was a fantastic night of authors, wine and books! Who could ask for anything more?!?
I am definitely late to the game as I have not read Saving CeeCee Honeycutt nor Hoffman’s newest release, Looking for Me. So what took me out on a Tuesday evening driving over two hours away {and during Atlanta rush hour traffic}? My pal Kathy from BermudaOnion has long been a champion of Beth Hoffman’s, and periodically, I will read these insightful comments on one of Kathy’s reviews written by Hoffman. She has always seemed so genuine and gracious in her interactions throughout the blogosphere which inspired me to go meet this author. I discovered that Beth Hoffman is just as lovely in person as she comes across on the world wide web.
Beth Hoffman & Stacy
Hoffman’s circuitous talk of what led her to write Looking for Me had many of us with tears in our eyes. Discovering Hoffman’s affinity for raptors, especially a red-tailed hawk, her devotion to animals {so much so that $10 from every book sold on the book tour goes to a local animal rescue}, and her love of family was wonderful. The small vignettes told that brought us to the point where the spark of Looking for Me was born had us all in rapt attention.
If you ever have the opportunity to see Beth Hoffman in person – grab it and enjoy the moment! She is truly a lovely person.
I have one signed copy of Looking for Me to giveaway. The giveaway is open internationally and ends on Wednesday, May 21st at 11:59 pm EST.
