Atlantic Solo Rowing Record Smashed!
Posted on the 16 January 2012 by Exceedpossibility @exceedpossibleAndrew Brown, 26, has completed his row across the Atlantic (2,936 miles) in a record breaking 40 days! The Atlantic Challenge, a race of 17 crews, was won by a British pair who beat Andrew to Barbados by just half an hour, considering he was solo this is an incredible feat.
Battling huge waves, fatigue and technical problems Andrew has flown in to the record books, setting a record that bettered the previous by two days and became the 26th Brit to row the Atlantic solo. This continues the amazing tradition of British Atlantic Rowers (a huge majority of ocean rowers have been British).
