Aries Rising – February 2013
In February, the Sun in Aquarius is passing through your 11th house of friends, groups and associations before in mid month passing into your 12th house of sacrifice and seclusion. During the initial three weeks of October, you will be concerned with networking; interacting with people, and friends or colleagues may give you a helping hand with your endeavours. You may be dealing or cooperating with groups of people or maybe companies, and if you do need some inspiration, then this could be provided by friends, or by young people. Venus is in your 11th house too, so you should experience a buzz of social activities with friends and groups, maybe even attending business conferences and making new friends and contacts. You should be in an agreeable mood and all sorts of relationships, personal or professional should go well. An older or more senior person in your life could start to push you in a new direction as Venus makes a square to Saturn on 11th February, although you may not appreciate the gesture at the time. This aspect could also dampen personal relationship between yourself and your friends for a little while.
Mercury is reaching the end of its cycle around your chart as it passes into your 12th house and subconsciously you will want to withdraw away for a while and you may find trusting others rather difficult. Why? It is because you may feel that whatever you say may be used by others and against your best interests. As such, you will prefer to keep your thoughts and opinions to yourself in the first half of the month. Mercury goes retrograde on 23rd February in Pisces, in a very spiritual and deceptive part of your chart. Your need for peace, solitude and to be at one with the world will be strong, but be aware that the mind can play tricks on you now, making you believe that someone is spreading rumours against you and working against your best interests. Chances are that they are not, but it will be difficult for you to believe otherwise. Mars will also be in the solitude of your 12th house. This is often a time when you will find that your efforts seem to be frustrated and you might become irritable. Try if you can to work on your own now, or to assist and help others by giving up some of your time for charitable causes. This type of work will give you a feeling of self-satisfaction. The new Moon in Aquarius on the 10th February square to the Nodal axis may see some of these new contacts taking you off in new directions in your life. The Full Moon in Virgo on 25th February is in an expansive square to Jupiter, so be a little careful what you say or do in your everyday work. Over optimism or over confidence could be misplaced now.
Jupiter and Saturn are two of the big stories this month as Jupiter finally turns direct in Gemini and Saturn turns retrograde on 18th February in Scorpio. Jupiter is in your 3rd house of local issues, travel, communication and brothers and sisters and you will start to see expansion and openness in these parts of your life, although I don’t think that Jupiter’s effects will be properly felt until March. Saturn is your 8th house of power, intimacy, sharing and change, so you might have now start a period where you review and shared property or financial arrangements, debts or mortgages, so you can work out exactly what money you owe or are owed, and how you are going to tackle these matters. If you are having personal problems in relationships, Saturn’s actions here will allow you over the next 4 and a half months to take stock and to work out where any problems lie between you and your partner. Do you need to take things in your life under your control now, taking the power out of other people’s hands? This retrograde period in the long run, may give you an ideal opportunity to achieve such aims.
