Background influences for October
The Sun in the first three weeks of the month is passing through your 9th house of higher learning, beliefs and travel in the first half of the month so you will be in a mood to take in as much information as you can during this period. It is great for study, learning new skills and meeting new people whose culture or beliefs differ to your own – you will learn a great deal from them. In truth, anything that stirs your intellect is good for you now. It is possible that you may have to deal with legal issues in some way and if you are on you travels, you will find your trip hugely rewarding and enjoyable. As it crosses into your 10th house in the last week of the month, you will become more career and work focused and you may be visible and ambitious at work.
Mercury is passing through your 10th house of career and worldly progress. You may find that you are having more talks and conversations with your father or older people, and at work you may begin to look to discuss with employers how you can progress with your career. You may have the urge to learn different skills within you work environment to make you more useful to your employers. Communications and paperwork may take up more of your time than normal and if you are entering into any work contracts, they should go reasonably smoothly.
Venus is making its way through your 8th house during October. There is a lot of emphasis on intimacy when Venus moves through here. Any new relationship will be based more on the physical side of it, and existing ones will be stimulated by your more deep and emotional desires. During this time you may also benefit from the resources and money of your partner or of an associate.
From the 5th through to the 7th 3 planets all change signs, Mars into Sagittarius and Mercury and Saturn simultaneously into Scorpio. Early into the month and on the 3rd October we have a Venus Neptune opposition squared by Mars. Confusion or misunderstandings in one to one or more personal relationships can lead to difficulties now, especially with older people or those in some sort of authority. Under this influence, new relationships can be formed, but be careful that they are created for the right reasons.
The new Moon on 15th in Libra occurs in the 9th house encouraging you to expand your mind and may make you restless in your day-to-day life. Will you get the urge to go off and experience something new, like booking a holiday or trip abroad, or finding time to take up a new course of study?
On the 17th Uranus receives a double hit from Mars and Pluto. This will be a time when more than likely your phone will not stop ringing and your diary will be full of things to do with friends and groups you are associated with. Open yourself to new technologies, new ways of thinking and seeing life and don’t be afraid of change. Change is what you need to challenge you, and take you to the next level. On the 25th October, the Sun meets Saturn in Scorpio trine to Neptune. This is a time when your can build on your personal philosophies and faith. That faith in yourself is slowly building, but others around you don’t really know and understand the real you. This connection brings a realisation of what you need to do to make them understand fully what you stand for.
The full Moon on 29th arrives in your 4th house in Taurus and opposes Saturn so issues at home may dominate your thoughts. This may include finding a balance between your work life and your domestic one. Quite possibly your boss or someone in authority may be imposing their will and ideas on you and this could affect things at home. Then again an issue at home or with parents may be on your mind making you less effective at work. Right now, you may have to make a choice between the two.
