Here is a very quick and healthy milkshake for those fussy toddlers.It is being quite a task for me to make my daughter have milk.Her taste seems to change every day :)She used to have milk mixed with this powder,but now she is very adamant about color and prefers cocoa brown in all her drinks.So here,this smoothie came to my rescue and today I made it for her,though she had in small quantity she liked it.This also makes a great breakfast for school going kids.Try this and I am sure you will love it :)
Apple chocolate milkshake recipe
Star ingredients:Apple and cocoa powder
Time:10 minutes
Serves 3
Ingredients:
2 cups boiled and cooled milk
1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 large apple peeled,cored and cut into chunks
Sugar or honey to taste
Few grated almonds for garnishing
Method:
1.Boil and cool the milk.Blend all the ingredients ecept milk and almond first to a smooth paste.
2.Now add the milk and blend till frothy.
3.Serve cold garnishing with grated almonds
Notes:
1.You can top with some fresh cream or whipped cream if preferred
2.You can also top with bits of apples,choco chips or more nuts.
3.Adding too much apple will turn the drink very thick,so add accordingly.
4.Use flavorings like cardamom,vanilla,saffron etc.
Enjoy cold along with some cookies or nibbles
