Alright, readers, I have a confession to make.
I have two finished, beta-read, edited manuscripts sitting in my desk and on my hard drive. And yet I haven’t done anything with them.
Why? I don’t know. Mainly just fear. not of rejection (I’ve submitted enough short stories to be used to that) but of something else I can’t exactly name. But I’ve finally decided I’m moving past that and trying this out anyway.
My goal is to submit each book to 100 agents/indie-publishers which, at a rate of 1 per week (per book) will take about 2 years
to finish. And I plan on sharing each step of the way with you. The places I’ve submitted and the feedback (good or bad) I get along the way. While it may turn out I make it to the end of my list and no agent signs me or no publisher accepts me, but at least I’ll get a little feedback along the way. I’ll know if it’s worth going to another 200 or if I need to take some time to rework what I have and then try again.
You know I love adventures, and here’s the next one
Any of my indie-author/writer friends out there feel free to join in my 100 challenge (whether it’s submit your manuscript to 100 places or submit 100 stories/poems, whatever) or leave any tips you can think of in the comments section!
Wish me luck, friends
