The upcoming prequel series to 'Game of Thrones,' which creator George R.R. Martin has all but revealed will be titled 'The Long Night,' is pretty much the only reason true fans of the show will have to live after the encroaching eighth and final season. And it appears that another piece of the puzzle has fallen into place with a new casting announcement.
Josh Whitehouse, star of 'Northern Soul,' 'Poldark,' and the upcoming 'The Happy Worker,' has been cast in a mystery lead role in the prequel show, according to Deadline. He joins actress Naomi Watts, the only other actor announced to be in the series, who will be playing a " a charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret."
Not much is known about the show thus far except that it will take place thousands of years before the events of ' Game of Thrones ,' will explore the internal lore of the show's "Age of Heroes" and the true history of the ancient war between the human citizens of Westeros and the demonic White Walkers.
