The thing that we're sure you'll enjoy about home is that it is in fact different from Rather Be, but in a much more mature, and darker way, rather than it being in terms of instrumentation or genre. The fact is, there are still a decent set of violins throughout this one, a nice percussive beat, and plenty to rave about ... whilst you can totally tell that it is, in fact, a completely different spin on the voice that is Jess Glynne.We'll admit, this one is probably not quite as catchy as Rather Be, but it has just as much about it, for us, that gives it an attraction. It's the next chapter in Jess' career, and a much darker, more mysterious, and (as we previously said) a more mature aura washes over her in this. Her vocal is much more at the forefront of this single, and names like Tanika, Sia, Ella Eyre, and Rihanna come to mind from time to time when the washes of R'n'B drench over the top.
We're not really sure where abouts this sort of track fits in the industry, but we know that we like it, and suspect that in the coming months - or even as a "one to watch" to 2015 - the name Jess Glynne will be floating about the air, just waiting to be snatched up and made a fuss of.
