Get ready folks! The animated adventure STORKS hits select theaters on September 23! This movie’s title makes me think back to when we surprised my son and told him we had gotten a child from the stork – his younger brother – when really we had a puppy wrapped in a blanket and we were holding it in our arms like a baby! Boy was he confused and he thought the stork was confused too!
The new STORKS movie stars Andy Samberg, Jennifer Aniston, Ty Burrell, Kelsey Grammer, Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele, Katie Crown, and Danny Trejo. WOW! This movie comes from the very same studio that produced THE LEGO movie so you know it’s going to be an awesome movie too!
Are you wondering what this movie is about, despite its title? Well….
Storks deliver babies…or at least they used to. Now they deliver packages for a global internet retail giant. Junior, the company’s top delivery stork, is about to be promoted when he accidentally activates the Baby Making Machine, producing an adorable and wholly unauthorized baby girl. Desperate to deliver this bundle of trouble before the boss gets wise, Junior and his friend Tulip, the only human on Stork Mountain, race to make their first-ever baby drop – in a wild and revealing journey that could make more than one family whole and restore the storks’ true mission in the world.
As for Storks, it’s rated PG, and it’s a fun, lighthearted movie that all ages can enjoy. While there’s nothing scary, or violent and there’s no profanity, I think this would be fun for adults to see too! From the clips I’ve seen, I know my grandson will ♥LOVE♥ this movie.
A good point of this movie is that it is only 1-1/2 hours long, so you know there won’t be a bunch of slow spots. There was a nice subplot going on with this movie too – for parents to put down our smart phones and put away our work so we can spend time with our children once in a while before it’s too late and they are all grown up.
If you head over to the movie’s Official Website, they have a section on the menu labeled “Activities” which is bunch of free downloadable activities for the kids! They all look pretty fun too! Here’s a maze to keep you amused until you can head over to their website
