Heading south today for a week at John C. Campbell Folk School followed by a very quick visit to my brother in Alabama.
I'm always of two minds about leaving home. One one hand, it's pleasant to have a change now and then but, on the other, think of all the stuff I'll miss -- like this handsome black snake that visited our greenhouse and left his shed skin behind.
And the clematis are just getting going good and the hollyhocks I started from seed last year are beginning to bloom . . .
and there are Great Spangled Fritillaries on the dog poo . . .Ah well . . . While I'm away my internet access will be sketchy so if I don't post, that's why. I should be back on line by the 15th -- see you then!
