It's been a while since the last post... Some work, some travels, and some time spent in museums : I could finally spend a consequent part of the weekend in the studio.
Keeping playing with pastels and a restful field of exploration - a Still Life. working from a photograph, I used a strong watercolor paper which I primed with acrylic and pumice powder. The paper was a bit textured and didn't allow to work too much into details, I then carried the work focusing on the colors - willing to render warm and smooth feelings.

I'll try to keep up drawing over the next weeks... (maybe keeping experimenting on this paper, as it fitted quite well my way of painting... maybe I can try to be a bit looser and freer in the gesture).
There is no time I feel better than after creating something in the studio.
