Here is a way to get picky eaters eat some thing healthy which will also attract their taste buds.I hope you all the importance of mashed potatoes in a kids/toddlers diet.These kind of finger foods are way better than store bought snacks and what's more these can be prepared in flat 15 minutes once the potatoes are boiled.Unlike normal cutlets these tikkis are shallow fried with3 teaspoons of oil,a vegan preparation and very filling snack. Play around with the spice powders and herbs and create your own preferred combo keeping this recipe as a baseline.Try this perfect tea time snack and lemme know :)

Star ingredient:Boiled mashed potatoes
Time:15 minutes
Yield:6-7
Aloo tikki
Ingredients:
2 large potatoes boiled,peeled and mashed
1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon amchoor
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1 tablespoon corn flour
1/2 cup bread crumbs
Salt
3 teaspoons oil for shallow frying
Method:
1.Mash the boiled potatoes well so that there are no lumps.
2.Add all the ingredients except oil and mix well.Do not add water/oil.
Aloo tikki3.Make 6-7 small orange sized balls and flatten them into thin discs.
4.Coat the discs well with bread crumbs
Aloo tikki5.Heat a non stick shallow fry pan.Add 1 teaspoon oil and spread well.
6.Shallow fry 2-3 discs at a time from both sides till golden
7.Serve hot with sauce.

1.You can add pepper powder.coriander powder along with the other spices.
2.You can also add fine shredded ginger and green chillies
