Aamir Hopes for the Return of the ‘good old times’ When Kashmir was a Favored Site for Bollywood FilmmakersBollywood superstar and perfectionist, Aamir Khan landed on Srinagar on Wednesday and attended the famed vegetable gardens of the gorgeous Dal Lake. Aamir visited Kashmir after a gap of 10 years, last time he visited the paradise on earth was in 1999 for the shooting of Mann (1999). 

After landing on the airport in Srinagar, he star straightly went to the Sarfarawu area in Kangan region to shoot an exceptional video for ‘Incredible India’ in the dwelling of local artist Ghulam Nabi Khatana. As the word of his visit spread in the area, the entire area was thronged by his fans and admirers who were trying hard to take a glimpse amidst the horde of tight security that bound them.
Khan is the brand ambassador of the Incredible India brand which promotes India as the most favored tourist destination across the globe.

During his visit to the Dal Lake where he relished the pleasant ride on Shikara, he said “This place is stunning and wonderful along with the people who are very nice and hospitable. Last time I visited the valley was in 1999 for the shooting of Mann.”
He was so impressed with the gorgeous beauty along with the residents of the valley, that he hoped the Indian and other filmmaker to return to this paradise ‘like the good old times’ when large part of movies and their songs were shot in the beautiful vicinity of this place.
Aamir Hopes for the Return of the ‘good old times’ When Kashmir was a Favored Site for Bollywood FilmmakersApart from his regular schedule he also showed interest in other places including the famed tourist resort of Sonamarg, Memer, Gund and Kangan along with a visit to the private school, riverside location and the floating vegetable gardens clearly indicate a filming of next Bollywood biggie in the valley.
 “Filmmaker Nasir Husain (my uncle) used to shoot his films in Kashmir, I hope for Bollywood to return here for shooting like the old times. I hope that the time has come and I wish more and more filmmakers to shoot their movies in the valley. Once you visit Kashmir there’s no need to visit any other place as it is really a heaven”, he added.
Some parts of his Bollywood blockbuster “3 Idiots” were screened in the Ladakh region but due to some reasons he couldn’t come to the valley. According to him, the team of “3 Idiots” straightly went to Leh for the filming because of which he did not get an opportunity to visit the valley.

“Kashmir is really a paradise and the natural beauty acts as natural sets for shooting for the filmmakers of Bollywood”, adds the 46 year old actor.
    
“There was a time when entire Bollywood filmmakers used to visit the valley either for a scene shoot or a song shoots of their film, I hope for the return of the same time”.
