I always thought there are very few people on the planet who know how to cut my hair properly. The person who tops that “few people” list happens to be Mr.Satya of AAKAARA hair salon

My hair is frizzy when dried and curly when wet. No comb can survive my hair and hence I only invest in conditioners and hair serums. It’s been months I have had a hair cut because I strongly believe, however it is cut, it still looks the same! More over most of the stylists cut my hair short or give short layers which in turn my hair avenges by coiling up more and making it unmanageable.
But one day, this chirpy little Appu took me to the trending AAKAARA hair salon. I wasn’t aware of how awesome my hair would transform at that moment. She gave them the biggest challenge to make my hair look good and manageable.

There was a warm welcome when we stepped into the salon. The ambiance was as amazing as it can be. Grand hair products, friendly hair stylists, peaceful spa rooms and rocking music. After taking a cup of tasty coffee, creative director, Satya analyzed my hair and explained the texture, demonstrated my hair strength and asked about any particular hairstyle I wish having for. Then there was a survey to know about my interests, favorite color, make up type, etc. He promised that my hair length would not be decreased and hair cut would be in such a way that, even after I wash my hair, it would be manageable.
On that note, the rest of the passionate hair stylists geared up and started treating my hair with suitable products for my hair type. The first step was to wash my hair, for which they used Kevin Murphy shampoo with soothing head massage. Needless to say, that I was so thrilled with the massage and gave the rating 5 out of 5 right away. Then they applied Kevin Murphy treatment pack and I stayed for 15-20 minutes with that on. Followed by wash, wash, wash. By this time, my hair became bouncy, smooth and had defined curls. With that my hair was all set for a haircut. Then came the master stylist, Satya and showed some pictures of different hair styles and asked my opinion. I couldn’t notice that my feedback was used for my hair cut! He then repeated the promise he made and started showing his magic. That professional style of his is undefined. He took so much care of each hair strand and cut my hair according to my face shape. Then the blow dry began! Two of the energetic stylists started to blow dry and set my hair while I took green tea and snacks :D . I held myself not to look into the mirror till the whole process is completed. Amidst of my excitement, they gave the final touches of hair spray and said, we are done! Like warriors who just won the battle. When I saw myself, I was like –
My happiness was inexplicable and I couldn’t believe myself looking so pretty. Yeah baby, it’s all in the hair cut and hair stylist! I got tons of compliments and load of likes *chuckles*
The best part was sleep, dust or wind did not affect the hair style or its shine. Even after washing, my hair has shine, less frizz, layers are so natural and I am able carry off any hair style.
They powerfully answered for why one should visit AAKAARA! Definitely the best hair dressers in town! If they did such a marvelous job on this complex hair type, then you can imagine how wonderful they can perform on any other hair type.
So, the final result was more or less the same..

Qualities of a Good hairdresser
The foundation of good looking hair style is to have a good hair cut.
A Good hair cut should highlight the client’s strong features & minimize the weaker ones.
For this to happen, the hair dresser must understand, the clients head shape, facial contour, neckline & hair texture.
Also, the hair dresser needs to understand client’s wishes, personality & lifestyle.
To achieve the optimal result, knowing the proper way to cut is important.

The review of AAKAARA Salon/Spa
It is located literally in the middle of the city of pearls. It is almost 100mts away from the Jubilee Hills Checkpost which makes it easier to locate. The spa is located in the ground floor of the building and thus makes it convenient enough to crawl in:D
As soon as you enter the salon you have a lobby and a reception area with loads of magazines and well cushioned sofa set. There you can see all the Bed Head products saying hi to you.
You will be offered with almost all the available drinks which I meant Tea,Coffee,Juice,Green Tea etc
Once you are done with the consultation you will be taken to the center hall where all the hair dressing is done. At one corner you have the hair wash area, backside of it you see lot of hair products from various brands and you have mirrors and dressing table all over the room.
One room is totally dedicated to pedicure with a set of two pedicure chairs and equipment related to the same. I have never really seen this anywhere.One room totally dedicated to foot spa, sounds great.
And then you have three spa rooms for body massage. At the corner you have one more room exclusive to the bridal section. That room has a huge dressing table which stole my heart. Overall, the place looked great. It is a unisex spa/salon and you can gladly take your guy with you :)
I have promised them that I would go back to them once I make up my mind on getting my hair short. I am keen on getting a chic hairstyle real soon.

Satya Rachamalla is a renowned hair stylist, who has refined his skills over a period of 15 years. Since childhood Satya has been attracted towards hair dressing, inspired by late 80’s & early 90’s Bollywood movies.
Lack of professional academy in Hyderabad in the mid-90’s made him move to Mumbai, where he worked as an apprentice in a salon during 1994-96.
Aspiration to earn thorough professional skills in the fashion and grooming saw him travel abroad. For the following several years he worked in various places including Riyadh, Egypt and the Philippines.
