So it’s the first day of the summer holidays – what happens? That’s right the sun disappears, the clouds come out and it RAINS!! We had planned to go to a village show this afternoon and thought we wouldn’t let some clouds and a bit of rain stop us, after all, we’re British, we’re used to it!
We had all of the usual village show events; a Fire Engine, vintage cars, bikes and tractors, vegetables and cakes, a beer tent, Punch and Judy and a giant inflatable slide. Alongside this there were circus acts you could have a go at, a magic act and, bizarely a burlesque and belly dancing group which was not particularly appropriate for a Saturday afternoon family event but it seemed to keep the Dads happy!
Although we had a nice afternoon, Little Mr A was being incredibly mardy and grumpy and we did have a few tantrums, plus a big meltdown at the top of the inflatable slide and Big Mr A had to go up to get him down! Other than that it was nice to be out and about doing something a bit different on a Saturday afternoon….
