I'm not a trainer person. I like pretty shoes that look nice. I've never been particularly bothered about comfort or practicality. Even when I was at school, I used to hate having to go and choose new trainers to wear for P.E.
Now I'm a Mum doing school runs, shopping and visiting the park regularly, I find I am having less need for pretty shoes and am finding myself needing to head towards comfort rather than the way they look. Stilettos are not a good look for me tottering up to the school gate!
I have tended to avoid looking at trainer type shoes as I consider them to be for sporty people, which is not me at all! I can't remember the last time I owned a pair of trainers! It was definitely pre children!
With Spring on it's way (even though it doesn't feel like it!) my trusty boots will soon be making their trip to the back of the wardrobe and I will be needing to look for some shoes to take me through to the Summer when I can start wearing my sandals again.
I have been looking at the options available and, whilst I still don't want a traditional trainer, I do quite like the look of a pair of hi-tops, particularly the Converse trainers. There are lots of styles available and some of them I can see could be quite 'pretty' as well as practical!

I think I will be having to make a trip to a dreaded sports shop to take a look at what they have. Up until now I have always considered them just to sell items for 'sporty' people, I wasn't aware of the fashion shoes and clothes they sold too.
What do you think? Which shoes take you through from boots to sandals?
