It’s not been the best start to the summer holidays this week.  What with Little Mr A struggling to adjust to a new routine, Little Miss A teething, and me not being very well yesterday it’s been a bit pants really!  So today, the sun was out and we were all in good spirits so we decided to take a stroll and ‘scoot’ around our village.

After a long walk we stopped in park number one for a picnic and a quick play.  We are very lucky in the village to have a couple of parks only a 5 minute walk from each other.  Both of them are very different so it is great to have that choice.  We chose the more shaded park for our picnic as knew the other would be far too hot and sunny to sit out in in the middle of the day!

After I had wotsitty hands smeared all over me we decided to head over to the other park where Little Miss A would be able to join in with the play a bit more.  Little Mr A befriended two little boys and so was quite happy to go off and play with them whilst Little Miss A explored the rest of the play equipment!

It was really nice to get out in the fresh air and I can’t believe we managed to spend 3 hours out and about just in our little village.  It just shows you don’t have to go far or spend a fortune to have fun in the sun!
