A Song for Croke Park

By Thedublindiary @TheDublinDiary
Firstly happy Saint Patrick's Day to all!
After the parade today in Dublin a lot of people will be heading to Croke Park for the All Ireland Senior Club Championship Finals. This makes me feel just a little bit left out. I've never been to a match in Croke Park.
Let me explain!
Growing up in County Louth there was never much focus on gaelic games in my community and I never developed the grá that so many Irish people have for our national sport. Perhaps if my county team had made it to a final Croke Park in my lifetime things would be different!
It doesn't mean that I don't appreciate the stadium and all that it stands for (Garth Brooks aside) so, when I got an email from Breandán of Tourist Walk with a link to the four County Down brother's latest song, Four Walls, I was delighted and knew I had to share it here. It recounts the history of the stadium and is performed in the Hogan Stand. What better day to celebrate our most historical national stadium then on St Patrick's Day?

Beannachtaí na Feile Pádraig oraibh go leir.
