Is it possible that I found my new favorite designer and design mentor? Yes it is! I have always loved the work by the former duo Tom Scheerer and Jeffrey Bilhuber. However, this new book by Tom truly takes the cake! Tom graduated from The Cooper Union School with a degree in Architecture, which is quite evident in all of his work. He went on to join Jeffrey Bilhuber and the duo was an instant success, gracing the pages of the top magazines such as Elle Decor, House Beautiful etc. In 1995 Tom went on to establish his own firm Tom Scheerer Incorporated, and again was featured time and again in the top design publications. For the last 10years Tom has created homes on Harbour Island in the Bahamas, where he has tried to retain the historic and architectural integrity of each property that he has restored.Finally, Tom has worked with Mimi Read on his new book "Tom Scheerer Decorates" and I think it's a must have for designers and those who appreciate fine interior design!
