I know many of you have seen this picture of me and my beloved cousin Jimmie at my parent’s wedding. I wrote a post about my Nana and I making sugar cookies and mailing them to Jimmie and his friends when they were stationed abroad in the Air Force. I remember he was at Patrick AFB in Cocoa Beach FL when I was a girl and he always said, ” Just like Capt. Anthony Nelson from I Dream of Jeannie”. He taught me to dance so I wouldn’t be embarrassed at my first Jr. High dance and he grew up with my mom because they were just a few years apart in age.
He passed away unexpectedly this morning and I cannot tell you how sad I am. I spent from noon until 8 PM this evening driving all across the state to tell elderly family members in person, including my mother who is beside herself with grief.
Tomorrow we will all head about 5 1/2 hours away to the funeral.
I had several more posts planned for this week but they will wait. I will be back posting in a week. I know you all understand.
