Happy President’s Day! I hope you are all enjoying a long weekend!
Right now, Robyn and I are somewhere en route to Quebec for a night at a very cool place (stay tuned for a full reveal and review later this week!!) We have been planning this weekend away for months, which got a little sidetracked with another blizzard, so now we are going up and coming back tomorrow. Not ideal since it’s a LONG drive (6+ hours each way) but we couldn’t pass up this opportunity!! So with that said, let’s take a look at last week’s workouts with the Weekly Wrap Up!
Week of 2/9-2/15
Monday: We were stuck in the middle of another blizzard and we were all home for the day. Robyn and I played with Ashton all day and had a blast. During Ash’s nap, I did the Asylum strength video and got my butt handed to me. I forgot how hard this video was, but I loved every minute of it!
Tuesday: We had another snow day at work but Robyn only had a delay so after he went to work, Ash and I hung out for the day. During his nap, I did PiYo Sweat and then the Insanity Max Ab workout. I wasn’t really feeling my workout, but I am glad I got both of these videos done!
Wednesday: After being stuck in the house for the past 4 days, I was excited to get back to work and my normal schedule. I got into work and lifted upper body before my morning spin class. It felt so good to be back in the gym!
Thursday: I was feeling really good on Thursday morning. I did box jumps, ran just over 2 miles at a 8 min pace and then lifted shoulders before I had to get ready for an early morning meeting. In the evening, I participated in the #taketheleap prAna yoga challenge with my friend Salt! I was challenged to do crow pose, so here is my pic!
I really like crow pose, but I still have a long way to go to perfect it! See my brand new yoga mat? Isn’t it beautiful? I had just opened up to do this pose! I’m kinda in love with it already!
Friday: I did the stair climber then lifted. Couldn’t find my groove today but something is better than nothing!
Saturday: It was Valentine’s Day and we had a great time celebrating with Ashton. We got up, had a fun breakfast, gave Ashton some V-day gifts (a book, a Monster’s Inc outfit, a pencil and a card) and went to swim class. Then, we hauled it into Cambridge to Burdick’s Chocolate Shop and Cafe and had a chocolate fest. Ashton picked out a dark chocolate mousse cake (he ate the whole thing himself) and he had a kid’s hot cocoa with dark chocolate, Robyn ordered a Burdick’s cake and had an Ecuadorian dark chocolate drink (it had a hint of vanilla and cinnamon and was SO tasty) and I ordered a Mexican dark chocolate mocha drink–it was decadent! If you have the chance to go to Burdick’s, go–you won’t be disappointed!
Sunday: We were supposed to leave bright and early for our trip to Canada, but the blizzard we were getting kinda put a kink in that plan so we stuck tight inside. During nap time, I did Insanity Max 30’s tabata strength and it was AWESOME!! In the evening my Mom and Aunt came into town to stay with us for a few days and watch Ash while we went away overnight!
