The Kooks have started their almighty comeback, and whilst many have been a bit worried about it (due to their recent announcement that they worked with a Hip-Hop producer for the sound) we're completely on board with their track, Down, and can see this comeback being bigger and even better than their last!
You'll notice that it's not nearly as fast as some of their most well known singles, but in this case it doesn't matter all too much. We've found that it is inexplicably catchy, has a real homemade feel to it, and despite the few reports of negativity ... we can't help but thoroughly enjoy it!
Pritchard is, as always, on form. His front-manning skills have become nationally renowned, and whilst he does have an arrogance about him, there's good reason why when you can spindle a track like this ... it's different, fresh, and a great way for them to find themselves back in the industry.
This is, by all means, a very different track to everything they have ever done, and to some, we don't expect that they'll be able to fathom the experimental side of it ... for us, it's just enough to be considered spectacular.
We hope that this receives the attention it truly deserves, and find ourselves craving more from the group ... it's only a matter of time until their album comes out, and with fronting the way, we've come over all excited!
Paul.
