The nominations for the 87th annual Academy Awards were announced this morning. The biggest snubs were only two nominations for Selma, no Lego Movie for Best Animated, and no Force Majeure for Best Foreign Film. Nice surprises include Princess Kaguya in Best Animated and Marion Cotillard in Best Actress. How did I do from my predictions?
Well since the Academy went with only 8 nominees for Best Picture, I managed to get all eight in my selection of ten. Bennett Miller got a surprise nomination for Foxcatcher, although the film didn’t manage to get a Best Picture nomination. The Academy continued their love for Bradley Cooper making it three years in a row he has been nominated.
I’d say I did really well missing only one nomination in a lot of categories. If you missed that post check it out here. I’ll be back to make predictions soon.
